Oliver’s XB is getting a NF springs for his 09 XB with 20 inch rim

It started out as a perfect morning. Guys were getting breakfast. Eric, the new owner of a 1995 Miata is driving his way towards my brother’s house to get things started. The project is to replace the complete suspension of this tiny car. Harmless it may seem and possibly one of the quickest one to replace since its small. We were wrong.

A project like this usually don’t need an instruction because it was straight forward. This was our 4th car to perform a complete suspension change. In the back of our minds we were thinking 4 hours, an hour a strut (compressing, decompressing, installation of new struts). The whole project last for 10 hours or possibly more.

Why did it take too long for a 4 hour job? We even had instructions from the Internet, thank you for the Internet. The main highlight of this project was one bolt, 1 dang bolt! Sits in the bottom of the struts. Removing this bolt gave us freedom to completely remove it with ease.

Then Oliver showed up for the remainder of the project. The rest really took an hour. I do have to mention that we did strip that s$%^ bolt and was looking around dealership for parts. That’s probably why it took so long.

We were looking at each other when we were decompressing the springs and just thought all together why does it take 3 people to remove a shock? Bakit nga ba? All I can say is that when one of our friends buy another Miata, we know what to do and what not to do.

What a great feeling!

Must be thinking of new ways to improve your work day. Don’t! because that only takes more time out of you to prepare. E-mails, folders, responses, break it down to the most important items and work your way down to the lesser.

It does takes time to ease in and get the ball rolling, but you’ll get it. You are probably saying the weekend is too short. Yes, me too. Back to reality.
